San Diego Retreats: Steps to Sun, Sand & Surf

We had a wonderful stay at Kendra's place in Mission Beach. The townhouse was very spacious and light, and beautifully furnished. We felt very welcome and comfortable there. The location was just exactly what we were looking for - on the bay side, but literally two blocks from the beach. It was in a quiet neighborhood, but within walking distance from great restaurants and shops. This is definitely a place we would choose to stay in again on a future trip.

Such a great house! Extremely comfortable (the master bed....ahhhh) and well equipped. It was our first time in the area and we could have not asked for a better location. Smack in between Belmont Park and PB allows for great restaurants and a lot to do but the beach wasn’t as packed as it was north or south of us. Our kids took full advantage of the public scooters to get around and we doubled our step goals every day we were there! Kendra and Rob are fantastic and communicative hosts and supply all the info you would need to know about the house, as well as what to do in the area. Kendra let me know in advance that the garage is tiny and she wasn’t kidding. Our car was about 3” too long to fit but, not to worry, Saturday was the only day parking was tricky. This place is absolutely amazing. You cannot beat the location. Steps to the beach and bay. Easy access to everything San Diego has to offer. The house is beautiful and clean and great for families or bigger groups. Hospitable neighbors, amazing weather and a location you can’t beat! I highly recommend this place and hope to be back soon!

Kendra and Rob’s home is warm and inviting; beautifully decorated and well appointed. The space is great for families and is a wonderful place to relax after a long day in the sun! The bay and beach are both steps away and the whole area is a special part of the Mission/Pacific Beach area. We really enjoyed our family vacation this 4th of July and look forward to our next stay! We had a perfect Thanksgiving while staying at Kendra's place. Everything was better than I had hoped for and the communication with Kendra was both immediate and accommodating. As a super host myself I would call Kendra a super super host. Highly recommend staying here! Location Location Location in a perfect home.

Kendra and bob were the loveliest and one of the most welcoming people we had traveling with Airbnb. They are the type of host you do not mind sharing the bathroom with ! Would highly recommend them to anybody and the location is on point ! Right in the middle between the ocean and mission bay. Really close (walking distance) to nice food and bar ! They were really convenient and the positive and cosy ambiance of their house made us feel really at ease immediately !

This is the perfect location for beach lovers. Steps to the sand and walking distance to restaurants, bars and other fun spots. If you don't want to walk, there are motorized scooters all over town which we took full advantage of. Kendra's home is very comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed and more. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful place, three minute walk to the beach. 3 king beds and 3 restrooms was ideal for 6 people and baby. House had nice amenities and was an overall amazing home, recommend anyone to stay here, walking distance or quick uber rides to so many places.

Kendra's beach place was very clean and had everything we needed. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms were great for us since we were traveling with our grown children. Would suggest checking to make sure your car will fit in the garage. It was a very tight squeeze. Enjoy your trip to California!

kendra's place was amazing. it was at a great location, one block from the bay and another block from the Ocean, close to restaurants and shops. Very cute house and neighborhood. kendra and her husband were friendly and helpful and their dog although quite and shy, was such a cutie.
